Local News in Brief : Costa Mesa : Orange Coast College Sees Donations Rise

Donations to the Orange Coast College Foundation increased 57% during the 1987-88 fiscal year, the foundation’s second full year of operations, officials said.
The total donations for the year were $406,415, up from the previous year’s $259,507, a college spokesman said. The foundation’s total income for the 1987-88 was $773,143, a 12% increase over the prior year.
“The major accomplishment of the year was completion of a large capital campaign to expand Orange Coast College’s Intercollegiate Sailing and Rowing Center, located on North Lido Channel in Newport Beach,” the spokesman said.
