Pet Safety in Cars

With so much emphasis on safety in cars, particularly at this time of the year when there is lots of extra traffic on the roads, I feel the following should be drawn to your attention.
Children and adults use car seat belts, but what do animals have? I have seen many animals in cars, jumping from one seat to another. In fact, only the other day, I noticed a large dog sitting on its owner’s lap in the passenger seat of a truck.
Surely the time has come to do something about his extra hazard.
