Board Raise With Many on Streets
I recently witnessed something that absolutely revolted me with reference to our beautiful county.
On one of the major streets in Orange County I saw two people standing by the road, holding a hand-made placard reading “We Will Work for Food.”
This man and woman were possibly homeless, dressed in clean clothes but begging to do some sort of menial task just for food to feed themselves and sustain life.
I find this sort of situation obscene considering the wealth of America today. With the amount of monies going into defense, space exploration and research for many projects, surely some money can be directed toward the needy and homeless.
I appeal to President Reagan to bring a plan to the Senate to correct this disgusting situation and eliminate the problem.
