Congratulations and sincere appreciation to The Times and staff writer Mayerene Barker.
Not only was the article extremely well-done, factual and current, it also addressed the serious issue of historical preservation in a growth-induced society. It is cities and communities such as our city of Santa Clarita and its century-plus towns of Newhall and Saugus that will never allow the destruction of their precious landmarks and points of interest. We care too much.
