Flamemaster Reports 42% Hike in 3rd-Quarter Profit

Flamemaster Corp., a Sun Valley maker of flame-retardant coatings and storage cabinets, reported a 42% gain in fiscal third-quarter profit despite little change in revenue.
The company’s net income for the three months that ended June 30 totaled $187,177, or 11 cents a share, up from $131,596, or 7 cents a share, a year earlier. Revenue inched up to $1.524 million from $1.520 million.
For the first nine months of its fiscal year, Flamemaster’s earnings fell to $303,547, or 17 cents a share, from $323,118, or 18 cents a share, a year earlier. Nine-month revenue slipped to $3.98 million from $4.32 million.
All per-share results were adjusted to reflect a 20% stock dividend that Flamemaster paid July 25.
