N.Y. Investment Group Raises Stake in PerfectData

A New York investment group has bought 221,673 shares of PerfectData Corp., boosting its stake in the Simi Valley maker of computer care products to 24%, or 775,780 shares.
The group, Swergold, Chefitz & Sinsabaugh, said in a Securities & Exchange Commission filing that it bought the shares as an investment. The group said it does not intend to buy the company, although “such an intent could develop in the future.”
