Fair Housing

The Times editorial “Fair Housing: a Rare Consensus” (Aug. 4) highlights a victory for all of us. Finally we have a “bill to broaden the protections and toughen the enforcement provisions . . . “ of the 1968 Fair Housing Act. Throughout the nation families with children and the disabled will also be protected.
Now perhaps, with firmer enforcement we can truly become a “Nation of Neighbors.
