USC Tours Brazil Without Raveling

The USC men’s basketball team will leave today on a nine-game tour of Brazil without its coach, George Raveling.
Because Raveling is working as an assistant coach for the U.S. Olympic basketball team, his USC assistant, Brian Hammel, will be in charge of the Trojans in South America.
The 11-player team will play nine games in 11 days, including a matchup against Brazil’s national team, the 1987 Pan American Games champion.
Playing for USC will be forwards Calvin Banks, Ronnie Coleman, Chris Moore and Johnny Holmes; centers Chris Munk and Alan Pollard; and guards Duane Cooper, Rich Grande, Andy Olivarez, Kyle Kazan and Anthony Pendleton.
