More Debate on Valley Light Rail

Joan Thompson’s response to Ms. Hayes didn’t seem remotely close to what, I believe, Ms. Hayes was trying to convey: that the panel apparently tried hard to arrive at a solution to an impossible traffic problem in the Valley, but because of disagreement couldn’t find the ideal route.
If Ms. Thompson feels so strongly, why doesn’t she come up with an east-west route that will solve the problem?
I feel sorry for Ms. Thompson, but not as sorry as I feel for the thousands upon thousands who are striving to reach a realistic alternative to sitting and sweating in a car that can’t move.
Rapid transit is a must for the future--hers, mine and those to come.
