In Defense of Fillmore

I am very angry and resent very much the article Denise Hamilton wrote about my town of Fillmore in the Ventura County section on Aug. 4.
I’ll grant it is a farming town, but is not the “dusty burg” she suggested.
We have a population of 11,000, lovely homes and we do not have smog and traffic congestion that Los Angeles has.
I suggest you tell Ms. Hamilton to come up to Fillmore and stay a few days, and I am sure she will change her mind about the town.
