Digitext Inc., Thousand Oaks, named Philip C. Haines, 51, as chairman and chief executive. Haines, who has served for several months as Digitext’s acting chief executive, was the founder and is still chairman and chief executive of Xmark Corp., a 15-year-old Orange County company that produces word-processing equipment and multi-user office automation computers.
Under terms of the agreement with Digitext, Haines will continue to serve as chairman and chief executive of Xmark, but will devote his principal efforts to Digitext.
