Thank you for your editorial. It certainly helped clarify my thinking about our Bill of Rights.
Now I understand that the Second Amendment has to do with the economic problems of the federal government maintaining a standing army.
Unlike nine other amendments which were clearly and unmistakably written to protect individuals from the abuses of government, The Times explains, “This amendment is really about national security.”
