Attorneys are scheduled to present their closing arguments today in the Valerie Harper-Lorimar suit in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Judge William Hogoboom earlier this week dismissed all of the actress’ charges of conspiracy to induce breach of contract against NBC, NBC Entertainment President Brandon Tartikoff and various Lorimar Television officials. But the larger issue of Harper’s suit against Lorimar over her removal from the “Valerie” series (since retitled “The Hogan Family”) will not be decided by the jury probably until early next week, the attorneys say. NBC attorney Donald Zachary said NBC was “very gratified” by the judge’s Tuesday decision, which also exonerated Lorimar Television President David Salzman, business affairs executive David Stanley and “Valerie”/”The Hogan Family” producers Thomas Miller and Robert Boyett of conspiracy.
