San Diego Club Wins Rowing Titles

The ZLAC rowing club of San Diego won the fours with coxswain title in the 38-plus age division of the World Rowing Championships at Glasgow, Scotland, over the weekend.
The ZLAC club also teamed with the Lake Washington rowing club to win the eights and with an Australian team to win the mixed eights.
Sue Birkson and Martha Conn of the San Diego Masters women’s team finished third in the 38-plus pairs; Nancy Durham and Kathy Rosoll of ZLAC were fifth.
ZLAC representatives also finished fourth in the 38-plus doubles, and a team from San Diego Masters was fourth in the 42-plus doubles.
ZLAC finished the fours with coxswain in 4:15, defeating Seattle.
