Celestial Seasonings herbal tea company is being purchased from Kraft Inc. by a management group including Vestar Capital Partners Inc., a private investment firm formed by former First Boston Corp. executives. The amount was not disclosed. The group said it expects to receive financing for the purchase from Drexel Burnham Lambert Inc. It said it expects the transaction to be complete by November. Vestar said an earlier agreement by Kraft to sell Boulder, Colo.-based Celestial Seasonings to Thomas J. Lipton Inc. has been terminated.
