Reuters Holdings PLC plans a modest reduction in its nearly 10,000-member staff, a company spokesman said. An internal staff notice said the London-based news and information services company “is introducing measures aimed at cutting costs in certain areas of its operations” after a period of rapid growth. Areas affected include marketing, development, editorial, administration and manufacturing. Most job losses will come through attrition, redeployment and voluntary departure.
