Local News in Brief : U.S. Seizes Malibu Home in Forfeiture

A Malibu home on 2 acres with an ocean view and tennis court has been seized by federal marshals because the owner used it to arrange drug deals, prosecutors said.
The home at 22250 Carbon Mesa Road, valued at $850,000, has been forfeited to the Drug Enforcement Administration, the U.S. attorney’s office said. The former owner, Bruce D. Feifer, was sentenced to 45 months in prison last year after pleading guilty in Miami to conspiracy to distribute cocaine.
Feifer discussed sales of 10 kilograms of cocaine in a telephone call from the Malibu home, and also told an undercover drug agent that he had purchased the property with drug profits, prosecutors said.
