Hollywood : Review of Projects Sought
City Councilman Michael Woo has called on city officials to conduct a full environmental review of two controversial residential construction projects in the Hollywood Hills.
The projects, at 1211 Sunset Plaza Drive and 2101 N. Highland Ave., are large apartment complexes that neighborhood groups say will cause additional traffic congestion on their narrow hillside streets.
Woo made his request last week in letters to the Planning Department and the Department of Building and Safety. Mayor Tom Bradley has also expressed concern about whether proper environmental reviews of the projects were conducted.
