Cal State Fullerton’s football team will play its home opener today, facing the University of the Pacific in a Big West Conference game at 1 p.m. at Santa Ana Stadium.
Fullerton (1-2) will be trying to atone for a 22-14 loss to Pacific last season, in which the Titans outgained the Tigers by 305 yards but committed 6 turnovers and were penalized a school-record 16 times for 122 yards.
Fullerton is the only Big West team against which Pacific has a winning record, 7-6, but Fullerton has won 4 of the last 5 meetings.
Pacific (0-3) has been outscored in losses to Arkansas, California and Idaho, a Division I-AA school, 119-56.
