Thousand Oaks 21, Simi Valley 0--Thousand Oaks held Simi Valley to 7 yards in the league opener at Simi Valley.
Thousand Oaks running back Mike Lindsay capped a 35-yard drive with a 10-yard scoring run 4:02 into the second half to break a scoreless tie. Lindsay, who also rushed for 20 and 5 yards in the 3-play drive, finished with 123 yards in 23 carries.
Thousand Oaks fullback Jeff Moore added a second score with 2:22 left in the third period on a 1-yard run. Quarterback Anthony Gonzales finished Thousand Oaks’ scoring with a 2-yard keeper late in the fourth quarter.
Alex Urbina rushed for 16 yards in 5 carries for Simi Valley.
