Jerome Kearney Fisher; Pioneering Dermatologist

Jerome Kearney Fisher, a dermatologist and one of the first medical doctors to link teen-age acne to diet and stress, died Saturday at his San Marino home. He was 86 and had established a library of dermatology at Stanford University, his alma mater.
In 1966, Time magazine quoted extensively from his report to the American Dermatological Assn. asserting that a principal cause of acne is sugar and fat. His research also showed that teen-agers suffer less from acne when they are relaxed.
He is survived by his wife, Isobel, a daughter, a son, a sister, two brothers and three grandchildren.
