London Agency Will Start Albania Flights

LONDON — A London travel agency announced Tuesday that it will run the first regular flights from Britain to the isolated nation of Albania.
The agency, Voyages Jules Verne, said it would begin twice-weekly charter flights to Tirana, Albania’s capital, starting Friday.
The Balkan country, among the most politically isolated in the world, has opened up slightly since the 1985 death of Enver Hoxha, founder of its Communist system.
Most package holidays now entail flying to neighboring Yugoslavia and taking a bus to Tirana. A few scheduled flights operate from European airports, mainly for diplomats and business people.
