Biola University this week broke ground for $17 million worth of expansions and new buildings--the largest construction project since the campus opened in 1959.
The project includes an expansion of the university bookstore, three new dormitories and a new physical plant. Also planned are a new La Mirada Boulevard entrance to the campus and relocation of baseball and soccer fields and tennis courts.
The Christian university, which has an enrollment of 2,700, floated a bond to pay for the construction projects.
