The United States, returning to the 16-nation elite World Group, drew a first-round home match against Paraguay on Feb. 3-5 in the draw for the 1989 Davis Cup tennis tournament.
The team was relegated to the American Zone this year, after a 3-2 defeat to Paraguay in 1987.
