Upjohn Co. announced that it has filed lawsuits charging two companies with falsely claiming in advertisements that their products can grow hair or stop hair loss. The lawsuits were filed in federal courts in Las Vegas, against California Pacific Research and Pantron, which market products called New Generation and the Helsinki Formula. Kalamazoo, Mich.-based Upjohn claims the two companies are violating a section of the federal trademark statute that prohibits false representation of advertised products.
