Juror Sues Over Job Lost During Trial

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A juror who sat through the 7 1/2-month trial of Colombian drug kingpin Carlos Lehder has filed suit in federal court claiming that she was fired because of the length of her jury service.
Because of a court order that requires the identity of jurors in the high-security federal trial to remain secret, the names of the juror and her employer were withheld in the lawsuit filed Wednesday.
In the lawsuit, filed under federal statutes designed to keep people from being fired because of jury duty, the woman is seeking reinstatement with full seniority.
