CS Northridge Defeats Chapman in Soccer, 2-1

Steve Lazarus scored a goal and assisted on another as Cal State Northridge defeated Chapman, 2-1, in a California Collegiate Athletic Assn. soccer match Wednesday night at CSUN.
Lazarus scored on a penalty shot to tie the score, 1-1, with 4 minutes left in the first half. Scott Piri scored the game-winner on an assist by Lazarus 3 minutes later.
CSUN is 10-6 overall, 4-1 in conference play. Chapman fell to 6-10, 0-6.
