Carbon Monoxide Fumes Overcome Utility Workers

BOSTON — A Boston Edison Co. worker remained hospitalized Thursday after he and five other crew members were overcome by carbon monoxide fumes while working in a manhole, officials said. Company spokeswoman Sheila Eppolito said the workers tested for gas before entering the manhole Wednesday. The source of the gas had not been determined.
