Southwest Airlines’ third-quarter earnings rose 30% to a record $26.6 million. Revenue for the Dallas-based carrier increased 19% to $239.1 million. The firm credited higher yield per revenue passenger mile and lower operating costs because of a decrease in jet fuel costs.
