On Sunday night (Oct. 16), Barbra Streisand sang, Bette Midler joked, Ashford & Simpson danced and Chevy Chase entertained the likes of Goldie Hawn, James Caan, Faye Dunaway, Madonna, Kenny Loggins and 700 other politically aware Southern Californians to benefit Mike Dukakis.
On Monday morning (Oct. 17), Calendar runs a cover story on Bush’s celebrity supporters, trumpeting Chuck Norris, Cheryl Ladd and Efrem Zimbalist Jr. (!) with no mention of the Democratic event.
The slant of your paper goes beyond tiresome into dangerous.
