Banning quarterback John Ma’ae completed 16 of 24 passes for 238 yards and 2 touchdowns, including a 33-yarder to Lamont Shedrick with no time remaining to give the Pilots a 26-21 win over Dorsey.
Gardena running back Khybdeed Hairston rushed for a school-record 248 yards and 2 touchdowns on 32 carries as the Mohicans snapped a 6-game losing streak with a 27-10 win over Narbonne.
Sophomore quarterback Brian Jurado of North Torrance completed 13 of 22 passes for 195 yards and 4 touchdowns and ran for 1 TD to lead the Saxons over Centennial, 36-18.

West Torrance, which was tied for first in the Ocean League football race after the second week of play, dropped a 21-6 decision to South Torrance for its third straight loss to fall into a tie for fifth.
San Pedro gave up an 11-yard touchdown pass on the last play of the game and lost to Washington, 14-13. It was the fifth straight loss for the Pirates, who have been outscored 133-37 during the skid.
Because of injuries, Harbor College resorted to using punter Luis Solorio at quarterback in a 41-0 defeat by Glendale. Solorio threw three interceptions as the Seahawks (1-7) lost their fifth straight.
The Loyola Marymount women’s volleyball team squandered a 9-1 lead in the fifth game Saturday against Santa Clara, losing 15-11 en route to its ninth defeat in its last 10 matches.
