Local News in Brief : Man Killed When Motorcycle Hits Pole

A Baldwin Park man was killed when his motorcycle crashed into a utility pole on a curving road in Sun Valley, Los Angeles police said Friday.
Jose Molina, 45, was killed shortly after 7 p.m. Thursday when he was thrown off his motorcycle after losing control while riding east on La Tuna Canyon Road near Elben Avenue, police said.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident, which is under investigation.
