Reader Gives Murray a Sound Trashing

Jim Murray’s undying love for Sugar Ray Leonard is so sickeningly obvious in every boxing article he writes.
Murray (Nov. 13) says Leonard gave Marvin Hagler a “sound thrashing” for his title. If I recall, it was a split decision. Leonard won the show, not the fight. He won the hearts of people like Murray who think it’s so neato when Ray does his cute little Ali-ripoff shuffle or winds up that useless bolo punch.
If there is a rematch, Hagler will rip him.
