Nicaraguan Aid

In response to the letters (Nov. 9) concerning the Reagan Administration refusing to aid Nicaragua:
These people who are outraged about the U.S. not providing assistance for hurricane-ravaged Nicaragua should not be. First, Nicaraguans are getting plenty of help from many other countries. Second, the person who is running Nicaragua is the one making it hard on the people of Nicaragua. He does not want democracy. He bans opposition groups who nonviolently oppose him. Maybe the people of Nicaragua will see that President Daniel Ortega is the one hurting their country and revolt against his Marxist government. Sometimes you have to suffer to get what you want.
At least the whales are free to do what they want.
Ortega is the ice preventing Nicaragua from being free. President Ronald Reagan is the ice breaker trying to free the people of Nicaragua.
