What is going on here? Your two editorials--one to take away a constitutional right to own a semiautomatic rifle, and the other to defend Salman Rushdie’s right of free speech.
When it comes to the arts, literature, theater (pornography), free speech and free press, you defend our rights with a blanket anything goes attitude. When it comes to firearms, you keep “Chipping Away at Guns” until we’ll have to change the Second Amendment from “arms” to “BB guns.”
And everyday more plea bargaining and early releases go on. Why don’t you get tough with the criminal justice system rather than law-abiding guns owners?
