Fullerton to Name Coach at News Conference Today

Cal State Fullerton will announce the appointment of a coach at a news conference today.
John Sneed, the acting coach who guided the Titans to a 16-13 season, is the obvious favorite--and the only one of three candidates interviewed who has not withdrawn.
“I think I deserve some kind of job,” Sneed said. “I don’t want to be unemployed. I am not going to retire.”
Unprompted, Sneed offered a telling comment.
“We only lose three guys off this team,” he said. “I believe we will be a good ballclub next year.”
