Slow Down at Border
My stomach turns into knots each time I read of another pedestrian death on the freeways. A friend described the horrifying thud as he hit a man near the border crossing. Nightmares followed, and he’ll never forget hitting and killing the poor victim. Desperate families crossing our freeways surely must find a safer way, or how many more men, women and children do we kill? I’m sure the planned lights will help, but how about a slower speed for the first mile after the border crossing?
