An Army laboratory in Honolulu has identified the remains of six American fliers repatriated from Vietnam and Laos late last year, the Pentagon announced. Two of the six servicemen are from California. One of the fliers, Marine Maj. Sam G. Cordova of Huntington Beach, was lost over Laos in August, 1972. The other serviceman, Lt. Cmdr. Frederick J. Fortner, a Naval reservist from Pomona, was lost over what was then North Vietnam in October, 1967. With the latest identifications, 2,371 Americans continue to be listed as missing in Indochina as a result of the Vietnam War.
