Commercial Scene : Contractor Named for New USC Hospital

J.A. Jones Construction Co., a Charlotte, N.C.-based general contractor with more than $300 million of construction under way in California, has been selected to build the $50-million USC University Hospital on the USC Health Science Campus.
Work is scheduled to start in April on the 275-bed hospital, which will serve as the focal point of the 8.1-acre, $150-million Richard K. Eamer Medical Plaza, named after the founder and chief executive officer of facility operator, National Medical Enterprises Inc.
