Jill S. Rosenberg will be honored for community service and receive Israel’s Jerusalem Award at a dinner Sunday night in Long Beach.
Sponsored by Israel Bonds--a business that sells securities for Israel--proceeds from the dinner will go toward the economic development of Israel, spokeswoman Alene Harris said.
Rosenberg, a real estate agent, is the immediate past president of the Long Beach Cancer League of the American Cancer Society. She also volunteers in the Long Beach District 3 Auxiliary of the Los Angeles County Medical Assn., is treasurer of the Jewish Community Senior Housing Corp. and a board member of the Long Beach Jewish Community Federation. She is the wife of Dr. Lewis Rosenberg, a Long Beach ophthalmologist.
The guest speaker will be Moshe Ram, deputy consul general of Israel for the Southwestern United States. The dinner will begin at 6:45 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency in Long Beach. A reception will begin at 6 p.m. Dinner tickets are $50.
