A North Hollywood woman who shot and killed her cousin’s boyfriend during a domestic dispute has been sentenced to five years in state prison.
Sandra Marroquin Galindo, 35, was sentenced Monday by San Fernando Superior Court Judge Meredith C. Taylor.
Galindo pleaded guilty last month to voluntary manslaughter in the Oct. 2 shooting death of Salvador Rene Roldan, 20, Deputy Dist. Atty. Susan Bilus said.
The victim, who lived in the same North Hollywood apartment as Galindo, had intervened in a dispute between Galindo and her common-law husband when he was shot once in the chest with a .25-caliber handgun, Bilus said.
