Lucero Takes 4-Lap Speedway Scratch Main

Steve Lucero of Riverside won the four-lap scratch main event Friday in front of 3,642 in the weekly speedway motorcycle racing program at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa.
Jim Sisemore of Woodland was second, Alan Christian of Murrieta third and Mike Faria of Riverside fourth.
Sisemore won the eight-lap handicap main event. Brad Oxley of San Clemente was second, Billy Hamill of Monrovia was third and Phil Collins of Newport Beach was fourth.
Tony Gomez of Santa Ana won the second division and John Kelly of Brea won the third division.
