Passenger Killed When Pickup Overturns

A 20-year-old Woodland Hills man was killed when the pickup truck in which he was riding overturned while making a left turn, Los Angeles police said Saturday.
Daniel W. Brown was in the back of the pickup driven by Chris John Ehlers, 21, also of Woodland Hills. Ehlers was turning left from Fallbrook Avenue onto Del Valle Street and lost control of the vehicle Friday night, Officer Dennis Smith said.
Brown, who was thrown from the truck, suffered massive head and chest injuries and died shortly afterward at Humana Hospital-West Hills, Smith said.
Ehlers, who suffered minor injuries, was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter.
