Residents of a neighborhood in the Fresno County community of Clovis are concerned by the frequency of cancer among their neighbors. But county officials say it is probably not a cancer cluster. An unofficial count indicates 11 people have been diagnosed with cancers--including cancer of the skin, stomach and breast--over the last 14 years. The variety of cancers makes it unlikely that the disease has been caused by a single environmental factor, said County Health Officer Dr. Donn R. Cobb.
