Ex-Cabinet Minister in Turkey Seeks Pre<i> s</i> idency

ANKARA, Turkey —
Veteran politican Fethi Celikbas plans to run for president next week in a parliamentary vote expected to pit him against Prime Minister Turgut Ozal.
“A presidential election cannot be held with just one candidate,” the Hurriyet newspaper Friday quoted Celikbas, a former Cabinet minister, as saying in a reference to Ozal, who is expected to declare his candidacy soon.
