NATION IN BRIEF - FLORIDA - Alleged Bribery at Prison Camp Probed
- Share via
Federal investigators in Pensacola are looking into allegations that inmates at a minimum-security prison camp for white-collar criminals paid bribes to leave the camp and meet their wives and girlfriends, a prosecutor said. The allegations came to light when an ex-inmate pleaded guilty to paying a $50 bribe to an Air Force staff sergeant who supervised prisoners while they were on work duty at Eglin Air Force Base, where the camp is located.
