Van Nuys 15, North Hollywood 0--Aaron Gadasy ran 64 yards on the first play from scrimmage for Van Nuys to set up a 26-yard field goal by Cuneyt Karacuha.
Gadasy gained 90 yards in nine carries. Quarterback Roy Vasich connected on a 43-yard touchdown pass to Karacuha in the second quarter to give Van Nuys a 9-0 halftime lead.
Diallo Frazier capped the scoring with a 14-yard run in the fourth quarter. He also intercepted two passes for Van Nuys (2-2, 2-0).
San Fernando transfer Maurice McFarland made his debut for North Hollywood (0-5, 0-2) at tailback, gaining 66 yards in 14 carries. McFarland was headed for a score in the fourth quarter, but he fumbled into the end zone after a 20-yard run.
