Harvard 35, Bell-Jeff 3--Harvard scored 28 fourth-quarter points and tailback Ken Dahn rushed for a season-high 194 yards in 16 carries and scored twice as host Harvard won its first game despite seven turnovers.
Bell-Jeff (1-4-1) committed seven turnovers of its own and failed to capitalize on any Harvard miscues. Harvard (1-5) scored twice on interception returns, a 35-yard return by Scott Collee and a touchdown of 30 yards by Bobby Bell.
All but one of Harvard’s turnovers came on the center exchange. The Saracens turned the ball over on five of six possessions in the second and third quarters.
Bell-Jeff quarterback Rod Chapman fell victim to four second-half interceptions. Harvard held Bell-Jeff to minus-20 yards rushing and 106 total yards.
