The Houston Astros have exercised their 1990 option on reliever Dave Smith for $1.1 million. Smith, a right-hander with the Astros since 1980, led the team in saves with 25 last season . . . Outfielder Dan Gladden and the Minnesota Twins agreed Thursday to a two-year contract for $1.8 million. Outfielder Marvell Wynne and infielder Luis Salazar agreed to two-year contracts with the Chicago Cubs on Thursday with option years for 1992. Wynne agreed to a contract that guarantees him $1.135 million. Salazar is guaranteed $1.185 million.
