OXFORD, Ohio — Miami University officials confirmed today that football Coach Tim Rose has been fired.
Athletics Director R. C. Johnson said that Rose, 48, will coach the Redskins’ remaining two games before the university begins a nationwide search for a new coach. The Redskins are yet to play Kent State University and Western Michigan University.
Rose’s seven-year record as Miami’s head coach was 30-43-3, including a 20-game winless streak that the Redskins broke only two weeks ago by beating Bowling Green. Miami is 1-7-1 this season after going 0-10-1 and finishing ninth in the Mid-American Conference last season.
